Advanced Security Officer Course is designed to build on the training required by States for Certified or Licensed Security.

The training consists of General Studies including;  lethal, non-lethal tools training, and Administrative and Defensive Tactics Training including edged weapons defense and weapons retention.

Officers are formally trained in a classroom setting and must successfully complete
a firearms qualification course Sample Qualification Courses.


         Additionally, Officers must take and pass the same Physical Fitness Test
as the York County Sherrifs' Department

         The training camp is conducted twice a year...once in the Spring and again in the Fall.

  Current PA- Act235, or Current Recognized Out-of State Credential 

  21 years of age or older
  Attendance at Academy is at the discretion  of the Director
